Why are my prayer times inaccurate?

Prayer times are calculated based on your location. Please ensure you have granted location permission to the app. You can also try changing the calculation method in Settings > Prayer Settings to match your local mosque or Islamic organization's method.

How do I enable Azhan notifications?

Go to Profile > Azhan Settings. Enable notifications for each prayer time and select your preferred Azhan voice. Make sure notifications are enabled for IlmCircle in your device settings.

Which calculation methods are supported?

We support multiple calculation methods including: Muslim World League, ISNA, Egypt, Makkah (Umm al-Qura), Karachi, Tehran, and more. Choose the one that matches your local community.

๐Ÿงญ Qibla Direction

The Qibla direction seems wrong. What should I do?

The Qibla feature uses your device's compass. Try calibrating your compass by moving your phone in a figure-8 pattern. Also ensure you're not near magnetic objects or electronic devices that could interfere with the compass.

๐Ÿ” Halal Product Verification

Why can't the scanner find my product?

Our scanner uses the Open Food Facts database, which may not have all products. If a product isn't found, you can manually enter the barcode or submit the product for review. We're constantly expanding our database.

What does "Requires Verification" mean?

This means the product contains ingredients that could be either halal or haram depending on their source (like gelatin or E-numbers). We recommend checking with the manufacturer or looking for halal certification on the packaging.

How do I use the camera to scan?

Tap the "Scan Product" button and grant camera permission when prompted. Point your camera at the barcode ensuring good lighting. The app will automatically detect and scan the barcode.

How accurate are the Virtual Imam's answers?

The Virtual Imam provides AI-generated guidance based on Islamic sources. While helpful for general questions, for complex fiqh matters or personal fatwas, we always recommend consulting with a qualified local scholar.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data, send an email to IlmCircle13@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include your registered email address. We will process your request within 30 days.

Can I use the app without creating an account?

Yes! You can use Guest Mode to access prayer times, Qibla direction, and the Quran. However, features like prayer logging, forum posting, and scan history require an account.

Is my data secure?

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption for data transmission and storage. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We do not sell your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
